This is a list in my training notebook of what a biblical leader looks like.
Leaders take responsibility
Leaders don't blame
Leaders problem solve rather than complain or dwell on the difficulties
leaders take initiative, not wait for someone to ask them to do it
Leaders are "oh boy" people, not "oh no" people
Leaders don't take themselves too seriously
Leaders care about the things God cares about
Leaders are learners, not know-it-alls
Leaders are interdependent
Leaders are indebted to those they lead
Leaders cast vision
Leaders talk about others achievements, not their own
Leaders look for opportunities to affirm others
Leaders know it's a priveledge to lead
Leaders demonstrate love
Leders SERVE
Leaders believe in the discipline of the secret
Leaders pray
Leaders study their bible, not just read it
Leaders play
Leaders love their families
Leaders honor their families
Leaders take care of things
Leaders take care of themselves
Leaders tithe
Leaders go to sleep when they should
Leaders motivate others by love, not fear
Leaders don't try to control or dominate the situation
Leaders fail
Leaders take risks
Leaders ask, "What could I have done differently?" Not "It's not my fault!"
Well, it looks like I have a long ways to go. Jesus, since you're the only one who has done this perfectly, please help me.
But I will take heart because of this promise:
"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 1:6
Basically what I hear this verse saying is that I will not be perfect until I see Jesus, BUT I will be a lot better leader when I die than I am now, because God is constantly working on my charachter.
This is good news!!

These lists are simultaneously very inspiring and very tiresome for me. It feels like pressure to be the perfect holy person. Is it like that for you? It's good to remember that even if we say "oh no" and stay up too late and talk too much about ourselves and ruminate on our problems, we're okay.
Couldn't figure this one out:
Leaders believe in the discipline of the secret
